"Heaven on Earth!"
"I've been to the Lazy E-L twice - once in the early 1980s and again in 2001. Both trips rank among the greatest adventures of my life. The cabins are very comfortable; the hosts treat you better than your own family treats you; the food is wonderful; and the 12,000 acres are...well, there's a reason it's called Big Sky Country. Right at the base of the mountains, the Ranch property seemingly extends to as far as the eye can see. And a river runs through it! There's something for everyone - horseback riding, hiking, hunting, fishing, feeding the cows/goats/etc. or sitting around and reading a good book and just soaking in your surroundings. Your stay can be as active or as lazy as you want it to be. The ranch is just outside a tiny (and I mean tiny) little town called Roscoe - home of the Grizzly Bar (which is as cool as it sounds). The Lazy E-L is a magical place. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a vacation that you will remember for the rest of your life!
"A Dream Come True"
"Almost 20 years ago a dear friend asked me to go with her on a "ranch" vacation. We visited a few places in Colorado and Arizona and were disappointed. The quality or riding didn't meet our expectations. When we found the Lazy EL over 17 years ago, we knew our dream had come true. The scenery, accommodations and people are spectacular. But, best of all, our dream or being able to ride our horses came true. No nose to tail riding, no doing everything at a walk. We became part of the cattle moving team and learned a lot about cattle work. My dream still comes true on an annual basis as I have returned every summer for the past 17 years, sometimes twice. I will be returning for year 18 in 2012 and my husband is returning for his second go round. That is a dream come true too.

"We loved everything. The people, the horses, the cabins, the 12,000 acres of playground. K was VERY happy riding colts (Drifter, Sage, Happy…) and M took a particular liking to Lewis (if you notice him missing, that’s because M took him home… we’re using him as a lawnmower). We had big fun riding with Erik through the trees and the barbed wire fences. K loved that she could ride all day every day for about 10 hours a day… the 3 hour long “20 minute trot” was a blast with your somewhat directionally challenged part-time help. M loved that he could ride all day almost every day – and take an afternoon off mid week to read a book in front of the fireplace with no one around save the resident ghost. We loved wandering around outside pre-dawn with a great cup of coffee (early risers), and enjoying some porch time with whoever was around in the evening."
"Thank you for sharing your "space." This is a generous family and I am grateful for the opportunity to experience the peace and harmony of the Lazy E-L."

"You truly live in paradise on earth. We have been to Mazatlan, Mexico, on an Alaskan cruise, to Disney World in Florida, but being on your ranch in Montana was by far the best vacation we have ever been on... it was a life long dream come true for me and it was everything I imagined and more"
Phil and Mary G., Indiana
"Believe me, I really miss all of you at the Lazy E-L. It was truly one of the top experiences I have had in my life."
John M. of Simsbury, Connecticut
"Each time I visit the ranch I come away thinking that the next visit just can't get any better. But, I had the chance to experience it again through the eyes of my daughter-in-law who made her rookie trip this year. It filled my heart with incredible joy as she learned to love the ranch as much as I do and I learned once again, that every visit to the Lazy E-L just gets better."
Kathy I., Grand Rapids, Michigan
"The manifestation of love, beauty, harmony, empowerment and trust that flows through this valley is virtually palpable. THANK YOU from the deepest part of my heart for allowing Tomas and I to experience every moment here...it will be in our minds and souls forever."
Helen S. and son Tomas, Australia

"I came to the ranch not knowing what to expect and am leaving with inner peace. I never felt so calm and centered...I love this place and am so happy I found you."

Just wanted to thank you for a very memorable & relaxing vacation we all enjoyed greatly! The kids still talk about what a great vacation this was! The Feltons
The Lazy EL Ranch is a national treasure for which we should all be grateful. I've enjoyed Mr. Mackay's book of stories of the early days - he reminds me of my own forebearers farming around Sidney and homesteading at Cabin Creek. Growing up in California didn't take the Montana out of me! It was wonderful to be with the children during our week and we grown ups have enriched our friendship. Thank you! Mike and Marie B.
