The Lazy E-L Ranch Guest Adventures & Activities
The Lazy E-L Ranch is the ideal Montana dude ranch experience offering something for everyone. Horseback riding vacations, authentic daily cattle drives in an old west setting, exclusive access to world class fly fishing, big game and trophy hunting, breath taking hiking in some of the most pristine mountain areas, all while keeping the experience personal and intimate with our nearly one to one guest ratio.
Just bring a wide-brimmed hat, boots, and a hearty sense of adventure.
The Lazy E-L Ranch welcomes only a handful of guests per week.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed like a treasured guest, become a valued part of our team during your stay and depart as family with a hearty "So long, stop by anytime!" At the E-L, you won't find big horseback riding groups, plodding nose to tail or packed cattle drives where you have no real function. Instead, you will find friendly people operating a real cattle ranch, alongside 10 or 12 new friends, in a magnificent, Montana mountain setting.
Be part of a real Montana cattle drive by helping us gather and move 2600+ yearlings from one pasture to the next, finding strays and sorting off bulls. You will find this to be one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of your life!
If breathing in the nostalgia of the West is the only workout you want... relax, put your boots up, and leave the work to us.
Once you've been matched with your horse you can come along as we wrangle horses, doctor calves, ship heifers, and perform daily ranch chores.
