The Lazy E-L Ranch is a cattle ranch that implements the practice of Holistic Resource Management, a technique developed by Allan Savory. This cattle ranch specializes in custom grazing programs for off-ranch cattle owners. The Lazy E-L runs 2-3,000 head of heifers and 150 cow/calf pairs during the spring and summer months. The ranch's primary concern is the health of the land. The crew works diligently to maintain it as a sustainable resource. The 12,000 acre ranch is divided into numerous smaller pastures.

One strategy of Holistic Resource Managment involves grazing high numbers of cattle for a short time in any one location. It is important to do cattle drives often so that we move them regularly so that grazed pastures are given a long period of rest and regrowth before the cattle begin a second rotation.

Because of the size of the herd and the frequency of the cattle drives, we welcome our guests to help us when we move cattle. Neighbors, family members, and friends often join us as well. A cattle drive is one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences we share.
